Hi, my name is Sashalee Martinez and I am a senior at the University of Rhode Island majoring in Health Studies with a concentration in Health Promotion. For the Spring semester of 2018, I held an internship at the Rhode Island Department of Health, Center for EMS, EMS for Children Program. This experience has guided me in the direction of what I would like to accomplish as Health Studies major. I have gained greater communication skills, a variety of computer strategies and knowledge in different aspects of health. Although I do not know specifically where my next journey will be, becoming an intern for the RI EMS for Children Program has provided me the experience and skills necessary to move forward in my college career.
